Anubis (jackal headed god) Son of "Ra" God of the underworld associated with determining the rights of the deceased to enter the realm of the dead. Doing so with the critical measurement of the weight of the heart against the "Feather of truth" using the "Book of the Dead". If the heart of the deceased weigh less than the feather he or she shall be worthy to join the company of the gods. If the heart should weigh more than the feather then the deceased shall be found unworthy and be devoured by the monster "Ammit" and becomes nonexistent.
